A Taiwanese tour group of 61 people from Taichung who traveled to Kinmen at the end of May experienced symptoms like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and fever after dining at a local restaurant, leading to a suspected food poisoning incident. However, test results from the examination of 5 restaurants where the cases had meals showed no evidence of food poisoning. The presence of Norovirus was detected in some samples, but no clear causal relationship was found to the restaurants. Hygiene inspections revealed some deficiencies, prompting authorities to ensure food safety and hygiene to prevent microbial contamination.
