Taiwanese TV personality, Zhou Yucou, is sued for defamation by Huang Kuo-chang after accusing him of 'forcing female students in the classroom' on social media last year as part of the #MeToo movement. The Taipei District Prosecutors Office found Zhou guilty of aggravated defamation and filed charges. In the civil case, Zhou was ordered to pay NT$300,000 and delete the post. The court ruled Zhou's claim regarding Huang's alleged behavior as unsubstantiated criminal behavior and not protected by freedom of expression, leading to the defamation suit.
