A man surnamed Lu from Tainan, who graduated from a prestigious university's chemistry department, imported 600 kilograms of drug precursor chemicals disguised as normal chemical products from China into Taiwan in early 2024. The chemicals were identified as precursor materials for the Class IV drug 'Meow Meow'. The operation was intercepted by the Taipei Customs and promptly dealt with. Lu, along with two other suspects, were detained. The total weight of the seized materials reached 607.2 kilograms and could potentially be worth NT$400 million as finished drugs.
