Taiwanese Wanted Woman Arrested in Australia for Arson as Backpacker

A Taiwanese woman named Hung who was wanted by Australian police has been arrested after being accused of arson while residing in Australia on a working holiday visa. Hung had multiple disputes with her landlord and other tenants, facing charges including verbal threats, extortion, driving into the property and tenants, property damage, arson, and setting fire at the landlord's residence. Despite efforts by the Victoria police to resolve the disputes, Hung continued to harass the landlord and tenants. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urges Taiwanese nationals abroad to respect local laws, seek help from embassies when in trouble, and avoid using violence or illegal methods to solve issues. The Taiwanese Embassy in Melbourne confirmed Hung's nationality and will provide necessary assistance and ensure her legal rights and treatment are upheld.
