A Taiwanese woman, identified as Xiao Jun, was robbed by two Chinese men in Manila while working in the Philippines, where they stole money from her bank account, raided her residence, and attempted to use her stolen phone to commit fraud using contacts. When Xiao Jun sought assistance from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Manila, she was merely advised to quickly return to Taiwan due to poor local security, receiving no substantial help. Despite reporting the incident to the Philippine police, Xiao Jun felt unsatisfied with the lack of action taken against the Chinese assailants and criticized the limited influence of Taiwan's representative office in the country. The office assured that they were closely monitoring the case through collaborative efforts with the Philippine authorities.
