Taiwanese ZCR Pharmaceutical Implicated in Counterfeit Drug Case, 12 Products Distributed to 5 Counties and Cities To Be Recalled and Removed Within a Week

Yahoo News reported on June 10, 2024, that ZCR Pharmaceutical has been involved in a counterfeit drug case, with 12 products containing unknown powder found to be distributed in high quantities to Kaohsiung, Keelung, and other counties and cities in the north and south. The Ministry of Health and Welfare's Department of Chinese Medicine stated that they will complete the recall and removal process this week, advising the public not to consume the products and to return them promptly. People can check the legality of their purchased or taken medications on the Chinese Medicine and Drug Licensing Certificate Inquiry System webpage. ZCR Pharmaceutical in Tainan has allegedly produced counterfeit drugs in unauthorized production areas, with products including Guifu Dihuang Wan, Renshen Guquan Wan, Lidan Baigan Wan, and others found to contain unknown powder.
