Tong Zixian, chairman of Pegatron, attended a forum activity organized by the Li Kuo-Ting Foundation for Technological Development today and discussed the highly concerned energy issue afterward. Tong Zixian expressed concerns about the high cost, poor resilience, and pollution of a non-nuclear homeland policy, stating that it would lead Taiwan to a high possibility of decline. He also emphasized the importance of including 30% green energy, 30% nuclear energy, and 40% thermal power generation in the national energy policy to reach international standards by 2030 while considering the demonization of nuclear energy often coming from oil-producing countries.
