On June 17, 2024, at 8:17 am, Tamsui Police Substation announced Tang Chiping's mother's body as an unidentified body. A citizen reported the deceased as the mother of actor Tang Chiping, found dead at the rooftop of the residential community on June 3. Despite initial verification by the police, Tang Chiping refused to acknowledge the body. Tamsui Police Substation announced that if the body remains unclaimed by July 8, it will be buried as an unidentified body. The body was temporarily moved to the New Taipei City Funeral Parlor, and forensic examination has been conducted.
