In Taoyuan's Longtan district, a local electronic arcade posing as a legal operation was discovered to be a nest of illegal gambling slot machines, with the 55-year-old owner surnamed Liu running the operation and hiring young women to attract gamblers. After a month of monitoring, police raided the arcade, arresting 43 people including the operator and customers, seizing over a million in gambling money. The arcade was disguised with legal storefront signs, but was revealed to be a hub for illegal gambling activities, leading to arrests and seizures by authorities in collaboration with local law enforcement.
