Democratic Progressive Party Taoyuan City Councilor Huang Ching-ping stated that Mayor Cheng Wen-tsang is involved in the land change case of the Hwaya Industrial Park in Guishan District, with two sons of a certain 'political elder' also implicated. Cheng Wen-tsang, former Mayor of Taoyuan and Chairman of the Strait Exchange Foundation, was arrested by the Taoyuan District Prosecutors' Office for suspected corruption. Huang Ching-ping revealed that the case involves a 9.5-hectare agricultural land outside the Hwaya Science Park, with cash being delivered to Cheng through a person surnamed Liao familiar to him, for the land change from an agricultural zone to an industrial zone.
