Taoyuan District Court ruled that Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) Chairman Cheng Wen-tsan was involved in corruption and bribery, setting a bail of 5 million NT dollars and imposing restrictions on residence, travel, and overseas trips. Analyst Weng Dar-ray highlighted 3 key points, stating that if any one of it was missing from the prosecutor's arrest and detention of Cheng Wen-tsan, there would be suspicion of abuse of power and interference in political struggles. The case involved allegations of Cheng Wen-tsan's involvement in altering the Lin-kou Special Zone Plan and accepting bribes, with critical financial flows having been exposed.
