The Ministry of Finance in Taiwan announced that there are 915 tax debtors with a total debt of around 895.12 billion yuan, a decrease from last year. Majority of the reduction in debt is due to some cases reaching the end of the tax collection period or complying with court judgments. Among the top individual tax debtors are Huang Renzhong, his sister Huang Xinping, and the Huang family, collectively owing nearly 32 billion yuan, with Huang Renzhong alone owing 19.35 billion yuan. The top corporate tax debtor is Hua Lien International Hotel Co., Ltd, owing about 21.8 billion yuan.
