The Northern National Taxation Bureau of the Ministry of Finance announced on June 17th the eligibility criteria for the first batch of tax refunds, with direct deposit refunds scheduled to be credited by July 31st for qualifying individuals. Those not using direct deposit will receive refund vouchers from the bureau and should collect or deposit the refund through financial institutions within the validity period. Four types of individuals are eligible for the first batch of tax refunds, including those who completed online filing, replied to tax assessments online or by phone, or confirmed tax assessments in writing before May 10th. Those yet to apply for direct deposit can do so online at the Taxation Portal from June 26th to July 10th or by submitting an authorization form to their tax office branches before July 10th. Refunds for non-direct deposit users can be collected or deposited at financial institutions between July 31st and September 30th. The Bureau advises utilizing direct deposit for prompt and secure refund service.
