A taxi driver in Hualien drove into a narrow alley wall due to feeling unwell at around 2 p.m. on July 4th. He was found unconscious with no visible injuries and was rushed to Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital, where he later passed away early on the 5th. The driver, surnamed Zhang, had a sudden brain hemorrhage and hypoxic encephalopathy diagnosed by the hospital due to his high blood pressure history. Further investigations will be conducted by the Hualien Prosecutor's Office and forensic experts to determine if the death was due to a car accident or underlying medical conditions.
