The amendment to the Taichung City Consumer Protection Autonomy Ordinance has passed its third reading, introducing a new system of publicizing consumer warning notices at business premises. If businesses fail to improve after being issued a warning notice, they may face fines ranging from 30,000 to 100,000 New Taiwan Dollars. If businesses refuse or tamper with the warning notices, they will also be subject to fines to protect consumer rights. This innovative new system aims to prevent consumer disputes effectively.
