In early 2024, at an intellectual disability care facility in Yangmei District, Taoyuan, a resident suddenly fell ill and collapsed in the evening. Staff and teachers on site immediately called 119 and started CPR. The fire department's second brigade arrived, provided AED, IV drip, and medication before rushing the resident to the hospital. Thanks to the prompt response, the valuable life was saved. The care facility expressed gratitude towards the personnel. This incident highlights the importance of CPR and AED training, as demonstrated by the involved teacher and rescuers from the fire department.
