Rebecca Joynes, a teacher, was sentenced to six-and-a-half years for having sexual relationships with two schoolboys, becoming pregnant by one of them. She groomed the boys from age 15, exchanged messages on social media, and engaged in sexual activities. The boys, known as Boy A and Boy B, shared their traumatic experiences during the trial. Joynes was described as manipulative and abusive by the victims, with one expressing the mental toll of the abuse. The judge emphasized that Joynes, as an adult, failed to maintain proper conduct boundaries and was in control of the situation. The case highlighted the importance of understanding that women can also perpetrate sexual offenses against men and boys, challenging harmful stereotypes and promoting awareness of male victims of abuse.
