It was discovered that she used a temple in Taichung as a cover to meet drug dealers and engage in illegal transactions. Despite claiming to visit the temple for good luck before buying lottery tickets, Zhang often failed to win, leading the police to uncover her drug-related activities. After being caught with drugs in her car, Zhang denied the accusations but was incriminated by six witnesses and charged under drug laws. She was detained as a result of the prosecution's request.
