In a recent report, tender rejection rates in the freight market briefly surpassed 10% for the first time in over two years, indicating a tighter capacity. The Outbound Tender Reject Index rose 35 basis points to 9.69%, still significantly higher than a year ago. As holiday volumes declined by over 31%, the overall market reflected downturns, especially in dry van and reefer segments, while spot rates remained resilient. Analysts are watching how rejection rates and overall volumes will shift in January and February.
