Terry Gou, the chairman of Foxconn, reiterated the concept of the golden ratio regarding Taiwan's energy supply policy at the 2024 National Policy Forum. Gou emphasized that nuclear energy is not meant to exclude green energy and stated that green energy can still grow 4-5 times. However, he pointed out intermittent power generation as a drawback of green energy. Gou suggested a combination of 30% green energy, 30% nuclear energy, and 40% thermal power generation to achieve a carbon-neutral power output, reduce energy costs, and align with advanced nations' standards.
