Tesla Autopilot Incident: California Tesla Drives Directly onto Railroad Tracks

Reported 12 months ago

Tesla recently introduced its latest Autopilot assistance system, FSD v12. 3, which has received positive reviews for its human-like behavior and flexible decision-making. Despite this, there have been multiple incidents of Tesla Autopilot accidents in the US, including a California Tesla that drove directly onto railroad tracks and even stopped in the middle, fortunately causing no injuries. California Woodland Police Department issued a statement urging caution when using Autopilot, emphasizing it as a driving assistive feature rather than a complete replacement, and advising drivers to keep hands on the wheel for immediate control in case of emergencies. This incident marks the second similar one in California in nearly two months.
