Tesla announced a recall of over 11,000 Cybertrucks in the US due to windshield wiper and exterior trim issues. This recall affects more than 70% of the model produced, impacting Cybertruck's mass production, which is set to begin next year. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported four recalls for the 2024 Cybertruck, with one related to front windshield wiper motor failure and the other to improperly attached trim sail appliques that could pose road hazards. Tesla is addressing the issues by replacing faulty parts or applying adhesion promoters and tape for affected vehicles. While most Tesla recalls are resolved through software updates, these physical issues require manual fixes.
