Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) software has made progress in China with reports suggesting that Shanghai has issued road test licenses to Tesla for their FSD technology. The test is reportedly taking place in the Nanqiao New Area where ten Tesla vehicles are involved. Tesla's CEO Elon Musk visited China in April, fueling speculation that he may have been seeking government approval for the FSD service. The potential launch of FSD in China would be a significant revenue source for Tesla, especially following a 7.6% drop in sales in the country from January to April 2024.
