Tesla has announced that the first units of its electric Semi trucks will begin production at its Nevada gigafactory by the end of 2025. Dan Priestley, head of the Semi program, indicated that the factory will be ramping up to an annual capacity of 50,000 units as they prepare for high volume production into 2026. Despite earlier intentions to launch the Semi in 2019 and potential shipping delays due to tariffs on Chinese imports, Tesla is now focused on meeting production goals amid changing global trade dynamics.
