Tesla has signed a $4.3 billion agreement with South Korea's LG Energy Solution to supply lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries from LGES's U.S. factory. The deal covers the supply of batteries for energy storage systems over three years, from August 2027 to July 2030, with an option to extend. This move highlights Tesla's effort to lessen its reliance on Chinese battery suppliers.
