Tether Holdings Ltd. has acquired a $100 million stake in Bitdeer Technologies Group, a US-listed Bitcoin miner, with an option for an additional $50 million stake. The investment will support Bitdeer's expansion of data center operations, development of crypto mining equipment, and general corporate purposes. Tether aims to become a major Bitcoin miner and had already begun constructing mining facilities in Uruguay, Paraguay, and El Salvador.
