The Anzalduas International Bridge in McAllen, Texas, is undergoing an $83 million expansion aimed at enhancing cross-border trade capacity. Set to be completed in spring 2025, the expansion will add two commercial truck lanes, significantly increasing the bridge's cargo processing capabilities to around 2,000 trucks daily. This project, vital for local trade and linked to broader industrial growth in the region, has been a decade in the making and will complement other developments like the $3 billion expansion of the Port of Manzanillo in Mexico and John Deere's new factory in Monterrey.
