Texas Instruments Inc. will receive $1.6 billion in grants and $3 billion in loans from the Chips Act, aimed at boosting U.S. semiconductor manufacturing. The funding will support the construction of three factories in Utah and Texas, expected to create around 2,000 manufacturing jobs and thousands more in construction, as part of a designated $40 billion investment across the states. This initiative is part of a broader U.S. effort to increase domestic semiconductor production amid rising competition from China.
