Thai veteran actress Chomchai Chatwilai passed away at the age of 73 due to complications from diabetes. Having started her acting career at the age of 6, she appeared in over 200 film and television works during her 60-year career, earning the title of 'National Grandma' for portraying mother and grandmother roles. Diagnosed with hereditary diabetes at 30, her health deteriorated recently despite treatments including dialysis and hospitalization. Her daughter, now a drama producer, shared her mother's peaceful departure. Chomchai Chatwilai dedicated her life to acting, supporting her family of nearly 30 people solely through her successful career.
