Thailand's second-richest individual, energy billionaire Sarath Ratanavadi, is increasing investments in data centers to tap into the growing market driven by cloud computing and artificial intelligence. Gulf Energy Development Pcl, led by Sarath, plans to double their spending on a data center facility in Bangkok by investing an additional 10 billion baht. This push aligns with Sarath's expansion into virtual banking, cryptocurrency trading, and technology sectors, anticipating a surge in demand for data center services due to increased AI adoption and cloud computing in the region.
