Thai Monk's Body Unaffected by Decay for 15 Years

Reported 12 months ago

A 92-year-old Thai monk, Luang Pu Siang, who passed away due to illness was found to have his body unaffected by decay even after 15 years, with a smiling face and a serene demeanor. During a robe-changing ceremony held at Ganmon Temple in Thailand, the monk's body displayed a golden hue and did not show any signs of decomposition, except for slight dryness and shrinkage. The monk's body was originally intended for cremation, but the flames extinguished themselves after 10 minutes without any damage to the body, leaving only the silk covering charred. The monk's preserved body is now stored in a glass coffin inside the temple for worship, where a changing of robes ceremony was held to prevent decay, attended by the abbot, 15 monks, and hundreds of devotees.
