Thai veteran actress Chomchai Chatwilai passed away at the age of 73 on June 20 due to heart failure and complications from diabetes. Having started her career at the age of six, she appeared in over 200 works during her 60-year career, earning the title of Thailand's most familiar 'national mother-in-law.' Despite battling genetic diabetes and heart issues since the age of 30, her condition worsened in the last three months, leading to her passing. Her daughter revealed that health complications affected her memory and ability to continue acting. Despite briefly returning to the entertainment industry this year, stress led to uncontrolled blood sugar levels and weight loss, ultimately resulting in her peaceful passing in the hospital.
