Kaohsiung Xiaogang Airport faced embarrassment again as a welcoming signboard in the departure hall suddenly fell on a Saturday afternoon, causing a scare for nearby security guards. Luckily, there were no passengers passing by at that time, and even though Transportation Minister Li Meng-Yan arrived for inspection later in the day, the problematic signboard had already been removed. The incident highlighted potential safety risks and led to plans for reinforced fixtures and improved signage, as the airport authorities work towards refurbishing the facility.
