Chinatimes Weekly reports that on July 7, 2024, Yueh Cheng-Hua of the Chinatrust Brothers hit a two-run homer in the third inning to help the team win 2-1 against the Uni-President Lions at the Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium. However, the color of the seats at the stadium sparked a controversy, with the Brothers' manager Eiichi Kono acknowledging that white seats can indeed affect judgments. Kono emphasized the importance of seizing scoring opportunities in the game against Lions' ace pitcher Lin Yei-Yang, which was characterized by strong pitching performances. The controversy arose after a home run by Yueh, and despite winning, Kono stated that the color of the seats can impact judgments, noting that seats in stadiums are typically not white.
