On the 10th of June, four foreign teachers were stabbed in Beishan Park in Jilin, China, with the culprit being apprehended as confirmed by the Jilin Public Security Bureau, stating the stabbing was prompted by a 'collision' with the victims. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded by calling it an 'incidental event', with the injured individuals being American teachers sent by Cornell College in Iowa to collaborate with a Chinese university. All victims are receiving medical treatment with no life-threatening injuries, and investigations are ongoing.
