The Daily Mail is facing a leadership crisis at its New York newsroom following the departure of its online editor-in-chief Gerard Greaves and other high-profile exits. Greaves, known for his erratic management style and lavish spending, had predominantly hired Brits over American journalists and was accused of mistreating employees with children. The toxic work environment has led to a vacuum in leadership, allowing for another Brit, Sean O’Hare, to take over in an acting editor role. The London headquarters is sending Nicholas Pyke to address the issues, but many feel the damage to the brand in the United States has already been done.
