The report compares the average income and average housing prices in different cities, measuring the affordability of buying a home. Hong Kong, known for its cramped living spaces and exorbitant rents, grabbed the top spot in the list of the most unaffordable cities, followed by various US cities, Singapore, and cities in Canada and Australia. Hong Kong has the lowest home ownership rate among all cities surveyed, standing at only 51%.
