FTNN News, June 12, 2024 - Some 'confidential investigation' cases in the judiciary have been prematurely exposed by the media or labeled as exclusive, sparking concerns about where the information is leaked and why it implies guilt on the parties involved. The Control Yuan's Judicial and Prison Committee passed investigation reports by Commissioners Gao Yongcheng, Wang Meiyu, and Zhao Yongqing, highlighting serious violations of confidential investigation by judicial police agencies in recent years, resulting in corrections to the National Police Agency and the Investigation Bureau. Suggestions were made for implementing media self-regulation, fair trials, and the presumption of innocence after the implementation of the lay judge system, urging the judiciary and the National Communications Commission to take action.
