Since Lee Dohye joined a Taiwanese baseball team in 2023 as a Korean cheerleader, Taiwan has seen an increase in the number of foreign cheerleaders, particularly from Korea. These cheerleaders find more opportunities for commercial gigs and TV appearances in Taiwan compared to in Korea, leading to their popularity spike. However, with 2-3 Korean cheerleaders per team in the baseball league, the market is nearing saturation. The unique appeal and scarcity factor contribute to their success, but there is still room in the Taiwanese basketball league for Korean cheerleaders to thrive.
