This Facial Change Could Be a Sign of Lung Cancer, According to Pulmonologists

Reported 4 months ago

Lung cancer, a leading cause of cancer-related deaths globally, is not limited to smokers, with 15% of cases having other triggers. Pulmonologists warn that facial drooping, especially when combined with lack of perspiration on one side of the face, could be a sign of lung cancer due to potential nerve involvement from a lesion in the top part of the lung. While not always indicative of lung cancer, facial drooping should prompt an immediate trip to the emergency room for evaluation. Other signs of lung cancer include cough, bloody sputum, weight loss, chest wall pain, and shortness of breath. Early detection is crucial for better survival rates, and reducing lung cancer risk involves avoiding smoking and secondhand smoke, minimizing exposure to carcinogens, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and seeking medical attention if concerned.
