According to Yahoo News on June 17, 2024, at 3:42 AM, the National Highway Police Bureau reported a traffic accident involving a semi-trailer truck and two small cars at the 14.1 kilometer mark eastbound of National Highway No. 2 in South Taoyuan section. Three individuals were injured and sent to the hospital. The vehicles were towed away from the scene, and traffic flow has resumed. The accident occurred when the semi-trailer truck experienced a tire blowout, causing it to collide with the two small cars. The injured individuals were transported for medical treatment, and no alcohol was involved. Traffic congestion due to the accident was cleared by 1:46 PM.
