P.O.P. Psychological Enterprise Management Consulting Company's owner Lu Xiujin and Huang Zhenhui, among 7 individuals, were prosecuted on June 17 by the Taipei District Prosecutors Office for violating the Psychologist Act and fraud charges. On June 18, Quanxin Law Firm, Zhongtian International Law Firm, and Boya Law Firm held a press conference criticizing the improper and biased investigation procedures. The lawyers expressed concerns that the proceedings did not provide a fair chance for the accused to defend themselves, with the prosecutors allegedly lacking understanding of the relevant laws, leading to questionable charges endangering academic and religious freedoms.
