Reported about 1 year ago
In New Taipei City's Sanchong District, a 43-year-old woman surnamed Liu was allegedly killed by her 42-year-old husband surnamed Liao. The husband then fled with their 6-month-old son to Yangmingshan, where he is suspected of suffocating the child before taking his own life. The couple, who were unemployed, depended on financial assistance from their families. The husband had recently been actively looking for work, and police suspect the tragedy may have been a result of overwhelming stress. It is a reminder to seek help rather than resorting to suicide. The exact reasons behind the incident are still under investigation.
