On June 26, 2024, due to a thunder strike, the Fu'an substation in Taoyuan was affected and all power lines were shut down, causing a widespread power outage in Daxi and Fuxing areas affecting 22,421 households. Power was fully restored by 4:27 PM. The outage was a result of a thunderstorm in the mountainous area, impacting the Fu'an substation which in turn affected downstream the Ronghua substation. Additionally, a separate power outage was reported at the ATT4FUN mall in Xinyi District, with Taiwan Power Company explaining that the building's internal equipment required maintenance.
