The Central Weather Bureau issued an immediate thunderstorm warning for Taipei City, New Taipei City, and Taoyuan City, lasting until 4 p.m. today, June 28. There is a possibility of heavy rain or thunderstorms in Taipei City, New Taipei City, Keelung, Taoyuan, and areas from Hsinchu to Nantou, Yilan, and Hualien. Residents are advised to be cautious of heavy rainfall, lightning, hail, and potential flooding in low-lying areas. The warning is in effect until evening with a high chance of localized heavy rain. Several regions are under heightened vigilance for possible flooding and landslides due to the intense convective cloud systems developing.
