Thunderstorms Coming! Midday Rain Hotspot Revealed, Increasingly Hot in the Next Week

Reported 8 months ago

This afternoon at 8:29, the Central Weather Bureau reported that there will be a chance of thunderstorms in the morning in the southern, central, and northern areas, as well as mountainous regions. Due to the influence of the southwest wind, rain occurred in many places yesterday. There will be locally brief showers in the western half of Taiwan this morning, with increasing heat in central and northern areas as well as Yilan and Hualien. The weather will remain unstable due to a front moving southward towards Taiwan, making it muggy. Temperatures will range from 32 to 35 degrees Celsius today, with potential for hotter weather in the southeastern areas. The next week will see a trend of increasing heat, with temperatures going above 36 degrees Celsius in many areas. Thunderstorms are expected in various regions from Wednesday onwards. Today, most of Taiwan and Penghu will be partly cloudy to clear, with chances of brief rain in the morning and afternoon in different areas.
