In a rare world-first sighting, a team of scientists from James Cook University observed a tiger shark regurgitating an echidna, a dome-shaped mammal covered in quills, typically found in Australia and New Guinea. The shark's behavior surprised the researchers, as they witnessed the entire echidna, with all its spines and legs, being vomited intact, indicating a recent kill by the 10-foot long shark. Tiger sharks, known for their fierceness and dangerous nature, are apex predators that prey on various marine animals.
