Top 100 Defense Companies Report 4% Increase in Arms Sales Amid Global Tensions

According to a report by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), the world's largest defense manufacturers increased arms sales by 4.2% in 2023 to $632 billion, driven by ongoing conflicts and geopolitical tensions. U.S. companies saw a 2.5% increase, while Russian firms experienced the most significant growth at 40%. SIPRI highlighted that the overall demand remains high despite challenges faced by companies in meeting it and indicated a trend of recruitment in anticipation of future sales.
