Andrew Miller, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State at the U.S. Department of State responsible for Israel-Palestine affairs, has resigned this week citing personal reasons, as he supports Palestinian statehood and does not agree with the U.S.'s pro-Israel stance. Miller was a key figure in sanctioning four Israeli men involved in violent attacks in the West Bank. His resignation adds to a series of government officials leaving due to dissatisfaction with U.S. policies on Israel-Palestine.
