A forum discussion on PTT sparked a conversation about the first foods people crave upon returning to Taiwan, with responses including hot pot, salt and pepper chicken, stir-fry, dishes with white pepper, intestines vermicelli and beef noodles, Taiwanese fried chicken cutlet lunch boxes, sesame paste noodles, dried mango, stinky tofu, bamboo shoot soup, stewed pork on rice, night market steak, minced pork rice, as well as bubble tea and hand-shaken drinks - which many pointed out are significantly pricier and in smaller portions abroad.
